The wine lands of the Sike Winery can be found in Egerszólát. The biggest area is the Field of Nagyhatár /16 ha/, it has got a unique facing aspect with excellent soil conditions. Therefore we have planted the determinative kinds of wine here-Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah,Alibernet, Kadarka, Pinot Noir, Olaszrizling.- The Cserszegi Fűszeres having a pleasant smell grows on the Paptető which is 1.8 ha large. On the Tóbérc field in Egerszólát the old Merlot and Kékfrankos and on a new plantation an experimentation of a new kind, the Viogniere and an earlier dream, the Furmint have been planted.
In certain years we expect the Furmint to be „aszu” because of the special micro climate on the field above the lake.
Here we are going to plant Olaszrizling, Sauvignon Blanc, Tramini, Szürkebarát, Chardonnay and Kadarka on an area sized 7 ha.
Leányka is grown on the Almagyar which is one of the most beautiful fields of white wine in Eger; it is about 2.4 ha.
Most of the plantations consists of about 3300 vine-stocks/ha but the vine-stocks of the new plantations are more than 4400. On some plantations there are 5500 stocks. We cultivate our wine plantations with our own machine pools on our own. On the fields we produce the crop with a strict limit of crop. We harvest the white grapes with the load of 6-8 t6ha and the blue grapes with the load of 4-5 t/ha. Our main goal is to harvest when the grapes are completely matured. In some cases we aim to gain over-matured grapes. In years when the weather permits we also produce”icewine” /jégbor/.
